About Me

Hi! This is Pranav. I am an engineer with a background in electrical, electronics and embedded systems. I completed my masters in embedded systems from the Delft University of Technology in November 2017. Since 2018, I am a Design Engineer at ASML working on the metrology software applications for the latest generation of EUV and DUV machines. These are some of the most complex machines invented by mankind helping push Moore’s Law to the next level(See this documentary on YouTube to know more). I mostly work on the metrology drivers of machine which enable it to achieve nanometer accuracy on Overlay during the lithography process.

Before this, I was also a part-time embedded systems engineer and worked on the embedded control system of an inkless printing system. For my master thesis, I worked on computational lensless imaging for picosatellites in coordination with space systems and computer engineering faculty of TU Delft. You can read my master thesis here. I currently live in the Dutch city of Utrecht and work at Veldhoven for ASML.

I made this website to write about things I find interesting, and also put notes from my studies which others might find useful. It is also meant to provide some insight to the readers about my thought process and what I am doing day to day. Apart from the technical stuff I mostly write about, I am also interested in philosophy and history. I like reading books on different topics like business, psychology, history and finance. Sometimes, you may also find my notes from the books I read.
